oil filter cross reference

Passat 1.8T and 200q20v oil filter the same? Really?

What I was given at my local German parts store for my Passat was a Mann W719/30, and for my 2.3 coupe AND 200q20v, a Mann W719/5. 

These filters are definitely of a different design.
