Climate control problem - Thanks for the help!

To all of you who sent me your advice over my "foggy" climate control, thank
you very much!  You all identified the same problem, and sure enough that's
what is wrong.  The spring is fine, but the plastic bar is broken.  I've
epoxied a piece of metal along the bar, so with any luck I'll be able to
drive in the cold AND be able to see by this time tomorrow!
