avant rear window removal

Does anyone have advice on how to safely remove one of the side-rear 
(cargo area)
windows from an avant?  I haven't looked closely yet, but I'm guessing 
that they're
held in by an adhesive bond, rather than a rubber gasket.  Is the old 
slip-wire-cutting
method the best choice?

P.S.  Make sure all cargo is secure - you never know when you'll need 
to make an
evasive maneuver... ;-)
