I would not recommend that, as it could harm the O2 sensor and 
catalytic converter, as well as leave deposits behind.  It may do odd 
things to rubber seals as well.  Gas goes in the gas tank, nothing 
else.

Fuel pump buzzing has nothing to do with how long they have to live- 
fellow listers have cars with pumps that have been practically 
screaming, for years.  After mine failed and was replaced, it buzzed 
slightly from day one.
