Yep, that was my car.  We were pretty surprised to see that it wasn't 
leaking, also.
After thinking about it a while, I figured out what caused the damage.  
The wonderful
parking enforcement army of NYC towed my car a few years ago (after a 
city cop told
me that I was parked legally... long story), and they surely used one 
of their lovely
chains-and-railroad-tie towing rigs.  They also managed to put a 
hairline crack in the
oil pan at the same time.  And, I only had to pay them $180 to do all 
of this damage
to my car... what a deal ;-)
