I Wanted to do the same, The lag can't be any worse than the 5kt. But
if your not going to increase your boost you will have more lag and the
same peak hp.
Why do you think your turbo needs replacing?
Also rebuilding your k-24 could cost as little as $70 if all you need is
new bearings. Just about any turbo place sells the 3K rebuild kits.
