200q climate control issue

I just got my A/C working on my '91 200q -- replaced receiver/dryer, 
vacuumed out the system, filled it up with oil and 134-a. Works great, 
except that the compressor is on whenever the engine is running. Compressor 
should be off when the climate control is in the off or econ position. Not 
happening.

Bentley seems to indicate that is most likely a problem with the control 
head or the compressor clutch relay.

Any BTDT to help point me in the right direction. Am I missing any 
possibiities?
