I assume I am very late to this game, but a note in the last digest brought
it to the fore as one of my cars sits in the A/C shop.
Patient 91 200, with dryer, comp, and both A/C switches, "freon" replaced
~6years ago @95K , previous owner. Currently 145K and system has measured
low pressure. I am looking @ $450 to retro to r134 plus new dryer. I am
looking for any BTDT's. I have heard of a TSB saying to replace expansion
valve but A/C tech said they usually don't. This is the wife and childs car
and A/C is almost mandatory. I will have to outsource this as I have nom
access to necessary evac equipment etc. If it works out, I'll probably
look to do my 200 as well.
thx
Mike
