A/C retro fit

Thanks for all of the suggestions, being a cheap skate, I'm inclined to try 
the R 12 compatible solutions.  (who knew, I'm thinking it is not something 
most shops will tell you!) I believe I found a shop locally who is doing 
this type of swap.  After 2 4000Q's, 2-3UrQs, 2 5000TQ's, a CQ and 3 wagons, 
I may finally get an Audi with working A/C.  Should be quite a treat.  I'll 
let you know how it goes.
