Idle Switch

What are the symptoms when this idle switch goes bad? My '91 200
has 277,000 miles and the idle switch has never been touched,
clicks at the right point, but the low rev boost is slow to come
on. The car has a new bypass and wastegate frequency valve.
Vacuum hoses are good. At medium speed and floored under load I
see 1.7 on the guage and all else seems good. But, the low end is
weak.
