Wheel has a leak

I had a what I thought was a tire with a slow leak,
well it is the wheel leaking where it had been repaired ( welded and 
ground down).
I figure I will have to take the wheel in to get fixed,
but does anyone know of something I can put on the inside of the wheel 
that will
temporally stop the problem?.
I am going to finish doing the front suspension in Dec.  during my 
school break  and the car will laid up
and I can afford to be missing a wheel for a couple of days.
THe car has one of those CS space saver spares and I do not plan to drive
around on that.
