Ken,
Support the front of the car in the center of the subframe, both suspensions
hanging from the strut towers. With the ball joint pinch bolt and the axle
bolt removed, you should be able to pry the lower arm down and out of the
bearing housing. Careful not to damage the ball joint or CV boots.
FYI, I'll fwd to you my old posting, Wheel Bearing Postmortem, was Note to
Benz Strut Brace users.
By the way, I have one extra set of parts for a Benz Strut Brace available,
if anyone is interested.
