oil dip stick??

What led you to think that an oil warning light can be caused by the 
dipstick seal? It's not.

Sort of silly to replace the dipstick instead of just installing a 
new rubber o-ring (probably about 20-cents) on the old one, which 
will definitely make it feel "more secure". Pep Boys likely has 
o-rings about the right size for that. And while you're at it, you 
can buy (or make) a new paper gasket for the oil-filler cap, which 
will eliminate any oily mess that might accumulating around the neck 
of the filler.
