Bernie,
I fail to see the humor in your sarcasm. OK, how about the wipers hitting
the hood when closing it? Better?
In either case, either the wiper assembly is not fastened down properly,
wipers are reversed, or hood is set too far back (even if only by 2mm).
God forbid, the front end has ever had any damage in the past 14 years...
