shifter removal (now short shift kit)

What's with all the interest in short shift kits? I mean, I know it's not a
short honda style throw, but it's also not a low effort shift either. From
what I know, shorter lever arm=higher force input, aka increased shift
effort.
In the end, I guess that just means bizzcat won't be hearing from me...or
maybe I can put together another custom manufacured group purchase that
winds up coming out several months late, but has as saving graces impeccable
customer service and product quality :)

Look at the group buy page and there is a list of models that can use
one version of the shifter.
