headliner replacement

My car's headliner cloth has finally begun to come loose in a large 
section at the rearmost edge (rear window) and heading steadily 
towards the sunroof. Up until now, it had only been the sunroof liner 
that had come loose at the edges. My impression--from the situation 
in the sunroof section--is that headliner adhesion failure is caused 
by deterioration of the foam layer to which it is/was glued. Just 
re-gluing the cloth to the deteriorated foam seems futile. But in any 
case it's not a job that I choose to take on as a DIY project.

So...are there any words of wisdom from the list to help me identify 
a quality shop for headliner replacement? Are there any specific 
questions (materials and procedures used, etc) that might help ensure 
getting a good job done for my car?
