got boost (slight return)?

I've got a similar or possibly the same situation. I used to see 1.7 to
1.8 all the time; I've only seen 1.6 max for quite a few months now.
Not sure about the idle though- just started it and it said 0.4 but
while I seem to recall .5 or I must confess to having much more
interest in the larger number than the smaller, so 0.4 may be all I've
ever had.
Recent correct spark plugs in my car; but I replaced the stock wires
many miles ago with snazzy blue aftermarket wires (I know, artificially
fat wallet). I'm thinking I'll spring for some factory wires, but I
don't think that's the cure for low top end boost. I've got a new
Michelin man, fresh hose from bpv past the hot zone, but I suspect
there's a slight leak somewhere. Guess I need to develop the ambition
to start checking things like the lower intercooler hose, the bpv
itself, even the intercooler (how?).
I'm thinking the plug wires may cure the occasional hiccup under full
boost in 5th coming up a long steep 6500' elevation grade in warm
weather.
Keep us posted on what you find, Derek.

Kind of off the top topic, but has anybody seen were the boost seems to
be
across the board lower...in my situation whereas at idle the dash
readout
used to read 0.3 to 0.4, now it usually reads 0.2, with boost on the
high
side only going up to 1.6 or so? I've seen low boost at the top end
before,
but not with it reading lower at idle too.
