Last month my Avant was hit (at low speed) by a tractor trailer rig. The
truck's bumper smashed the tailgate and lights, but didn't do any
structural damage. I was able to locate all the parts thanks to Tony from
Oklahoma, a guy named Mike (who moved away and didn't want to schlep his
extra parts) and the local Audi dealer. The body shop did a great job
color matching, and even resprayed an unrelated area where the clearcoat
had started to peel. The car looks and drives as it should. I'm glad to
have it back.

I am also considering adding another quattro to the stable. My brother is
interested in my Volvo V8 coupe, and has offered to trade his '91 Audi V8Q
5 speed sedan (among other considerations). Although I'd love to have a V8
Avant, it would probably be cheaper to just have one of each.
