rebuilding a power steering hose (update, BLOCKAGE IN HOSE)

Ok, so my father took off the rebuilt hose...

One of the connectors seems to be blocked inside, welded shut???

Tough lesson, now I will always check that things can get from one end to
the other of the hose...

Hopefully the pump, bomb, rack are ok
