windage tray in oil sump

My intent is to track the car a few times a year at various
club events. I agree the Type 44 is a bit of a dog these days but
I still enjoy the process of tweaking it here and there. And it's
kind of fun to surprise some of the new car owners with an old
beast that's pretty quick for its age. I actually did have an oil
leak to deal with so this may not be an entirely fruitless effort.

I have heard rumors of oil starvation in the 3B and the 3B is
surely an improvement over the MC. I'm unclear as to the
exact cause. In any case, my goal is to eliminate that issue "as long
as I'm there." So far, trial fittings of the S4 windage tray seem
to indicate that it will work. Then again, I don't have all the
3B parts yet. I will report back in a few weeks after the
next round of parts ordering. If anyone can direct me toward
Alex Neckas, I'd sure like to get his btdt on this.
