Do you mean to imply that you were able to get _higher_ than 1.4 bar 
before replacing the WGFV (i.e., the new WGFV didn't cure the violent 
cutoff but just reduced the boost)? The WGFV might be connected 
improperly--or--as in Kneale's case maybe it's the wrong one.

The cut-off symptom can be caused by merely a loose clamp or a torn 
hose (e.g., Michelin Man). Rather than replacing anything--have you 
ever done a manifold pressure test?
