Brake bomb washers

Extra torque will not stop the leak if the rubber o-ring has not been
compressed sufficiently to hold back the pressure once the banjo fittings
begin to touch metal to metal.

Your o-ring diameter (cross sectional of the rubber ring) may be too small
on the new rings, and the old ones may have lost some of their original
flexibility.
