Powersteering hoses

A few weeks ago I was bragging about how well the car was doing, except for 
an oil leak mentioned elsewhere. That night the pressure line to the rack 
started dripping Green gold.
Pulled the hose and took it to a local parts place that has a reputation for 
fixing hoses of all sorts. Guy behind counter says "Yeah I can fix that". 20 
minutes and $35 later I walk out with a new hose assy. He used the correct 
crimp sleeves and even knew about the silencer in the hose. Put the hose on 
and the hiss is gone and Green gold stays where it is supposed to.
I am curious to know what others have paid for thier hose repairs, is $35 
reasonable?
