Avant roof top attenna

Just went to replace my burned out antenna amp on the roof of my avant, and 
to my dismay the screw on cable connector isn't going to come off (cranked on 
it with two vice grips).  My only options are to find another female cable end 
for the wire or try to cut off the old connector with a dermal and try and 
jury rig it.

I have been to a couple of car stereo places looking for a new cable end but 
no luck.

Any BTDT's or ideas.
