Subject: Stray vacuum line

Just a quick question, where is the vacuum line that runs along the
underside of the intake (or rather the pipe that connects the
intercooler to the intake) supposed to connect to? I'm in the process
of hunting down boost leaks, and this stray hose seems like it would
be a big one.

Also, is there any harm if I connect the wastegate pressure line
directly to the intake manifold? I'm hoping to bypass the ECU and just
have consistant 1.8 bar boost.
