My sunroof exterior paint is scratched from retracting. Scratch (actually
many scratches) is superficial but visible, about 3/4 inch wide and a few
inches long beginning at the trailing (rear) edge of sunroof and ending near
the sunroof middle. Initial inspection doesn't reveal source. Plan to
remove sunroof and inspect retraction space this weekend. Didn't find
anything online/ archives. Any BTDT re. scratch source? Sean NH

My 4kq has this problem; it also has a broken guid bracket on the same
side. Look through the small interior trim panel and you'll see a
bracket that allows the sunroof to tilt at the rear. Compare the sides
and see if the side with scratches has broken; it won't sit low enough
when retracting and the roof scratches it.

Coonhound.....if all parts for the sunroof are functional, there is a
very clear procedure in the bentley for adjusting the height/angle of
the sunroof. I don't remember much about it (other than it is easy)...
I did it when I reglued my fabric and foam liner back on the sunroof

Roger:
Does the dash digital gauge read 2.4 or does the gauge say 1.7/8 and the PT
calculation is around 2.4?
Or are you adding 1.4 to atmosphere (1.0) to obtain the 2.4?

Someone mentioned the TAP set up could read more than 1.8 but I've never
seen
a higher than 1.8/9 reading.............

Curious.

 John J's RS2 converted 200q20v reads 2.0 bar max...even when the boost
gauge gets up around 28psi. I've personally never seen a 200 read higher
than
2bar, I didn't even think the cluster processor was programmed to go
higher.

I have no idea why this is happening.

Probably AOL's mail servers acting up, or someone started tagging
Audifans messages as spam instead of unsubscribing.

My wiper arms always touch a little.
The other day I changed myt hood and noticed there 2 types of wiper arms,
the ones that touch and you could fold them up with hood closed, and the ones

that dont touch and have much lower profile, but cant fold up with hood
closed.
So with many parts here at my friends shop
Quattrohaus.net<http://Quattrohaus.net>I found the correct ones.
Now im happier, simple fixes makes me happy.

The dash digital gauge reads 2.4 bar. I have not done it enough times to
say what the rpm is, because the car is really accelerating and I am just
funnin'...and making the shift to third, then as it says 2.4 bar..making the
shift to fourth and I am really out of road. I am quite sure that 2.4 is
about the top, but there is more acceleration there, and what absolute
redline might yield I am not sure.

55 mph is a comfy 2350 rpm, and the car pulls in fifth gear like my 4.2 V8
did. So far I have not had the car above 80, and then only on the
Interstate. It's abundantly clear that whatever the driver wishes, just
push the little pedal down, and the car is willing.

I have a pretty full weekend, but I plan to pull investigate the ecu and see
what it says.if anything.

The car doesn't really "feel" like my '93 V8. Rather it "feels" like my '89
Avant Quattro with a V8 under the hood.

Roger
