Stray vacuum line

The first time I uncovered that "stray vacuum line" (about
220,000 miles ago), it was indeed cooked to powdery carbon.
I simply replaced it with a copper line with short pieces of
vacuum hose on either end, and have not bothered with it
since. The copper tubing is refrigeration tubing, available
at any home store.

You can see a picture of the copper line at www.gsidman.com.
