UFO caliper questions

If the boots are all good you don't need rebuild kits.  I've never tried to

The caliper is all one piece, what do you mean 2 halves?  If the caliper
slides freely on the carrier don't mess with the guide pins or their boots.
Just blow the piston free from the caliper, piece of wood across the caliper
to catch the piston, and clean up the internals.  Reuse the seal and boot.

Don't replace your rotors!  Rotors tend to wear true, and will be better
than anything you might spend big bucks on.
