Ignition switch removal

Well I finally went to pull the ignition switch. Only to find a tamper 
resistant Torx fastener.
  I found the size in the Bentley. It is a #30.    Is it supposed to be 
tamper resistant?
What a PITA.
It should be even more fun when I goto pull the assembly out of the dash 
since the key is still stuck in the lock cylinder and probably
will  not pull through the dash.
