Fuel pumps are odd critters. Some people report having noisy
fuel pumps for 1000s of miles and years. Others report quick
deaths. My feeling is that a soft noise or hum may be normal,
but if the pump has been quiet and then suddenly starts howling,
it isn't long for this world. I wouldn't plan any long trips
if it were howling, but a quiet hum wouldn't bother me (too much).
Since yours is a loud buzz, I'd change it out ASAP.
