My '91 200q (Lehmann chipped) gets fuel mileage pretty much in line
with what Taka reported--high twenties and sometimes even a bit
better on the highway at a steady 75-80 mph. Of course that's "Audi
mph", which is really closer to 70. I've never driven at a steady 65,
so I can't say what that would be. ;-) My computer's MPG output was
adjusted years ago to be within about 5% of actual fill-up
calculations, and I verify the "calibration" from time to time. While
I routinely get 27-29 MPG on the highway, I can get as high as 30-31
over long, flat stretches (125 miles) when I really concentrate on
using a steady right foot, avoid "aggressive" passing and stay below
80. There are many times that I seem to get better economy using of
my own right foot rather than the cruise control.
The same car--around town--gets no more than about 18 MPG.
