Unintended Acceleration - really happens

In the one year 200 20V I had a start up go to about 3,000 RPM and stay 
there.  Killed (key) the motor and looked around......... Squirrel acorns under the 
IM throttle body hung the accelerator pedal cable cam end up - open to 
produce 3,000 RPM.
Scary indeed.

Did you find what caused yours?  
Your linkage is different, completely different.
I think its rumored that the floor mats have two pin anchors to prevent 
this..........
