Mike,
I got spiral cracking on two of four lenses under Stongard with 100W bulbs
soon after installation. The good thing is that the Stongard holds them
together and seals the cracks against moisture leaking in, thus no detriment
to light pattern or intensity for past 6 or 8 years. I have since learned
that annealing the lenses for this condition prevents this cracking. Slow
heat to 450 or 500 degrees F in kitchen oven with very slow cooling before
installing.
