Paul,
Would definitely recommend replacing the blower motor while it's apart! (or
at least check the brushes and ensure there's quite a bit left!) Not overly
expensive and not a job you'll want to do twice...BTDT!
Hopefully you have a garage or semi heated area if you're going to undertake
this job... It's not overly difficult, just a PITA. Would allow for a full
day, but really should only take four hours or so... Take care and notice
how the heater box comes apart as it has to go back together the same way...
It's a job that requires a little patience and thought, really isn't any
shortcuts!
Sure someone will respond with how they can do this job in 45
minutes...please send me their suggestions as I have to replace the blower
motor eventually...haha (no this isn't the BTDT above, but I will change
heater core when I have it apart!)
Believe SJM's site has a pretty good description of the remove/install
job... http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/
