Powering steering hose.

Many years ago, I replaced my PS hose with an aftermarket hose.
I believe it did not have the damper section, anyhow, from
the moment I installed it, the power steering had a moaning
sound, almost inaudible until you performed a turning maneuver,
when the moaning got fairly loud.
After a month of listening to it, I replaced it with the genuine
article and the moaning went away forever.
Once again, this was one experience with one particular
aftermarket hose...YMMV...
