That's true; Nick's use of the term "never" is really a statement 
about Econ or Auto modes, so should not be confused with meaning 
"impossible" in the larger sense. As you point out, it certainly is 
possible to get face-vent warm air using Bi-Level setting. But FWIW, 
Bi-Level is a mode I've never used in 10 years of driving my type 44 
cars--mainly because I prefer to have the larger proportion of 
defroster air-flow, which is provided by the other modes (Auto and 
Econ).
