Chipped mileage?

I have a 2Bennett stage 1 chip, they say off the record that it's a copy of
a Mitsubishi chip!???

What the hell, It came with the car. Otherwise stock - running Bosch triples
not platinum. I have run both though, and no qualitative changes in mpg.

Getting 18-19 mpg around town and 29 on long easy trips @ 55-60mph. Best one
tank record was across Kansas in 2003, 32mpg. Perhaps the avant is more
aerodynamic ;).

I guess the real question is what do we get when we drive it like we stole
it? I have never done worse than 12mpg on a tank.
