window regulator woes

A commonly available aftermarket regulator assembly (with motor)
seems to be "Pimax" brand. Does anyone have a good/bad experience
with the Pimax units, or do you have a better alternative to
recommend? Price seems quite (suspiciously) reasonable at about $125
from Autohaus Arizona. (And definitely I'm not interested to spend
time and $$ to pull one from a 15 or 16 yr-old car in a junkyard).

The old-timers might remember my posts about the "swivel-pin" repair
I previously did on the window's pivot assembly: that repair seemed
to keep the window working nicely for 3 years, 10 months and 16 days.
However yesterday, the driver's window went "up" with an ominous
clattering noise--and then on the very next attempt to use it at a
Thruway toll booth--it remained in the "down" position (noise from
the motor but no movement). Naturally I was 150 miles from home and
temp was about 28 degrees F. Eventually, a bit of polyethylene
sheeting and some duct tape managed to keep the car's interior
remarkably comfortable (but noisy) for the trip home. I suspect a
broken cable--or, that my lower swivel-pin has lost its grip on the
cable. In any event, I expect to be replacing the regulator assembly
this time around.
