non workin radio

i believe that the previous owner changed everything
(amps, speakers, etc.) because there is about 5 amps
in my trunk. the po also put in a radar detector,
which he had built into the climate control, via a
knob) so on the actual climate control panel there is
a knob so i can turn on the radar detector. however i
noticed that even when i turn the knob the radar
detector doesnt work anymore either. maybe this is the
culprit.
