Window lift R&R

Quick sanity check please.  Went to do the LR regulator.  My usual mode is 
to lift out the whole window frame and replace the whole lift mechanism on a 
bench.  Can usually be in and out in 45 minutes.
This time found out my sourced LR was really an RR and I really wanted to 
get this done before 4 maore days of forecast rain.  Plan B was to swap the 
tested good motor for the bad.  I've done this before with good results but 
more of a PITA than the whole reg swap.  reg worked immediately before 
transfer and not after. (12V source on bench)  No extra parts, all brushes 
etc seated.  What did I miss?
