Did I miss something? Doesn't your link say that the extended Life Prestone
is Phosphate, Silicate and Borate Free?
to wit:
For those consumers who would feel more comfortable using a phosphate-free
antifreeze, our _Prestone® Extended Life 5/150 Antifreeze/Coolant_
(http://www.prestone.com/products/antifreezeCoolant.php#extendedLife) is phosphate,
silicate, and borate free.
Where does it say that this formula contains small amounts of phosphate?
I'm curious.,, And I've run the extended life orange formula for years and
hundreds of thousands of miles. Don't know if it will run 150k, but does fine
being replaced every 60k with the timing belt and waterpump.

I usually read the "contents" section of the bottle - *if* they bother to
list it. If they don't list contents, or if one of the "ingredients" is a
phosphate (hooray for chemistry!), I skip it.
It's not like you need to do it this second, day, week, or even

Is this what you're talking about?

I have to admit, it's a pretty amusing answer.
