I've used green in both my audis (275K on the 20v and 225K on the urq)
at around 25-30% in summer and 50-60% for winter. I thought, phosphate
free requirement was purely an environmental concern for the millions
who don't dispose of coolant properly. Germany has a track record of
(at least since I've paid attention) being progressive for environmental
concerns.
I have no plan to switch to anything different.
I now am running about 90% DI water in the urq since the water pump seal
leaks like republican discussing cia operatives. New timing belt and
pump will go in this month. Need to start the urq more often in the
winter to prevent these inconveniences.
I ran my '73 stepside gmc 6 cylinder with pond water when it was on the
road and drained it in the winter.....motor still runs and cools fine I
however broke a piece of linkage for the 3 on the tree and have been
unsuccessful sourcing it. Anybody with 3 on the tree parts please
contact me....i now have no roadworthy vehicle with a gun rack.....
And apparently the jury is still out on water wetter and evans coolant
