Plastic Gear Life

I recently replaced a distributor because one of the seals was bad. We'd started out to just replace the plastic gear w/ the metal. My plastic gear basically crumbled to pieces as well. However, we also found that this 179K distributor had a bad seal so we had to replace the whole thing. Good thing the new distributors come w/ a metal gear now. 

Anyway, if anyone needs a metal gear I now have one for sale since I won't need it any time soon. Email off list if you want it.
