Cruise Control Problems

My climate control has been doing something similar for two years.  On  hot 
days with the AC on I will loose the dash vents.  Turning the  control unit off 
than on or switching them to econ brings them back.  Later  I discovered that 
raising the set temp a few degrees will bring the vents back  on, than as the 
car interior cools down, I gradually lowered the set tempt and  the vents 
usually stay on.
 
I assume something is happing when the vacuum control box is trying to  close 
the re circulation flap.  On my old 5000 I had to replace the vacuum  control 
box because the individual valves had slow leaks.  It was actually  a Delco 
part.
 
Fixing this has bin on my to do list, but not at the top.
