Gary,

A google search shows that a -lot- of vehicles, ranging from Ford  
F150's to Hondas to Touregs (Toe-rags? :-) have -a- 10 pin connector.  
Whether it is the same 10 pin, I have no idea (probably not, but one  
could always hope.)  In some cases, like the F150, it seems the truck  
is prewired for a brake controller; I seriously doubt an allroad is,  
but sometimes wonders never cease.

If you toss up a pic somewhere of the connector, I can try to ID it  
and give you an idea of where you might find it.  From there,  
figuring out which pins are which shouldn't be too tough.  Even with  
a crimp tool thrown in, it'd probably still be cheaper than whatever  
Audi wants for the adapter.
