It is smooth inside so the clamp bites into the hose less, the threads are less likely to vibrate loose because of the screw arrangement and they're all-stainless.
Part of the concern might be that the type of clamp you used could lose pressure on the hose as it digs its way into the hose over time.

As far as the clamps, if anyone has a link to some of these"special ones" I would be interested.
Is your clamp concern one of sealing or fatigue/breakage? AFAICT, these std clamps, which I know do not have the most uniform pressure distribution characteristics in the clamp world seem to be sealing perfectly (knock on wood).

If you used run-of-the-mill fuel hose intended for pressures in the 15-20
