Heavy oil usage...

Ok, I finally had a chance to look into this a bit.
The plugs are clean - no fouling at all.
I pulled the intake hose off the turbo and checked the play in the shaft - 
my calibrated finger gauge indicated at least 0.25mm play - may be 0.5mm - 
enough to make a clearly audible click/clack  without ducking in close to 
hear.
I'm guessing too much eh?
Am I on the right track thinking that the hot side seals are leaking oil 
directly into the exhaust?
If so, any info about rebuilt, or rebuilding part supplies welcomed.
