Ditto what Kneale said - I tried to fix a few wires on my car but new
symptoms manifested and when I got in there lots of wahrs were bad/going
bad. The windows combined with sunroof sounds like the large ground wire is
at fault - brown jacket, 1.5mm dia vs 1.0mm dia for most other wires in the
door hinge. Time to get out the soldering iron! I have a photo of the bad
wahrs somewhere but it my be in corporeal rather than electronic form...for
that matter I think the bad-wire bundle is still sitting in the trunk of the
car.
