anyhoo, my $0.1 is

Black Emu sponge on shoe polish. (the liquid stuff in a little bottle
with a sponge head)

Cheap as chips and lasts about a year

Mate with British sports car shop swears by it for the (Fugly) rubber
bumper MGBs and Midgets
