Peter - Redline has a GL4 lube called MTL which is 75W80, and people
that use it report good cold weather performance.

My clutch seems great, it engages pretty early, feels new compared to
my C4 S4 which has no such synchro problems. It's a different
transmission though (016 vs 01E).

Are you saying that after you replaced bent the fork that the
replacement was even worse?  I wonder if my fork is borderline bent.
